Antique Dead Woodcock Game Bird Hunting Still Life Pastel Painting Trompe L’oeil

A beautiful 19th century hanging game bird or woodcook painting, appears to be possibly pastel on board from what I can discern. It is in a handmade period wooden frame measuring 9″ x 22″, the image is approx. The painting itself is in good condition, with strong color still. The frame itself must have gotten wet at some point, and the laminate is separating around the edges. There is also some chipping to the wood in the front. The gesso gold painted trims around the glass on the front do have some slight cracking in spots. The glass is original and seedy, there appears to be a scratch on the left hand margin.
