Antique 1880’s New England Early American Folk Art Child’s Sled. The Fantastic Early American Folk Art Child’s Sled is painted Red with Yellow Pin Striping & White Daisy Style Flowers. In the center are Two (2) Birds sitting on a Branch with Cherries. The Sled is Oak with Metal Runners over an Oak Framework. The Side Boards are Pegged. Don’t miss the chance to own this fantastic example of Early American Folk Art! USED CONDITION: There are the normal scruffs & scratches to the sled due to lots of use. There is a split lengthwise in the red body of the sled. There are pencil markings on the underneath side of the body. The split has been glued. The wood runner on one (1) has been broken & glued in two (2) spots at the upright post. The other runner has additional metal attached to both sides of the wood runner at the last upright post. There are some chips of wood missing & hairline cracks here & there. There are several holes in the body that do not go clear through the wood. The red paint is worn & missing in spots. Approximate Measurements: 32″ x 11.5″ x 11.5. If there is something specific you need to know, please ask questions! Condition: Used condition with wear consistent with age & use. Folk Art Child’s Rocking Horse. This is an authentic very old antique piece. Made of solid wood with a folk art painted plaster overcoat. Has a tacked on leather saddle seat. Rocker bars measure approximately 54″ long x 16-1/2″ across & the horse measures approximately 34″ high x 36″ long, leg to leg. Condition is antique & very very used with many losses & cracks to the plaster overcoat & old cracks & repairs to the rocker bars. Missing the right leather ear. This is a rare old piece that has the folk art charm. Please view all the pictures for a complete idea of condition. AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART EARLY CHILDS CUPBOARD WOOD OYSTER WHITE PAINT SIGNED DATED. Up for sale is this wonderful 3 drawer child’s / doll dresser. It’s a beautiful old dresser in an oyster white. The paint is old and original, and it’s crackled and alligator-ed everywhere. The knobs are old painted wooden knobs and appear to be original to the piece. It’s a wonderful oyster white on the outside and a stunning aquamarine blue on the inside of the drawers. The blue is probably newer than the white as on the top drawer, in the back along the inside, there’s scribed in the wood. On the front, you can see that the cabinet is worn and has separated just a little where the bottoms of the drawers meet the sides of the dresser. This doesn’t detract from the look but you can see it if you look at it. The whole cabinet measures 17.25″ W x 7.75″ D x 12 H it weighs 10 lbs. The drawers are 15″ W x 6.25″ D and about 2 H each. The back is not painted as you can see in the pictures. It is a wonderful and one of a kind item! There are nicks, scrapes, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. We will do our best to answer your questions. AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART WOOD CHILD’S SLED ORIGINAL BLUE PAINT CHRISTMAS. Up for sale is this amazing child’s sled. This is such a cute sled!! It’s a ligth blue and it’s a sled you (or small kids years ago would) sit on while wooshing down the snow! The runners are metal and this little sled is heavy for its size. We don’t recommend that you use this for your kids to downhill sled on, however, we do think it would make a great Teddy Bear display item or perhaps a Santa display for Christmas! The upper part is wood and it’s a worn light blue. The bottom rails are wonderfully shaped to plow through the snow. They are wrapped with metal and there’s a metal crossbar underneath also. On the back on the deck there’s some damage to the wood. There are holes in the front of the runners for a rope but there’s no rope. It’s in great condition for its age. The paint is all rough and worn as you can see in the pictures. As you’d expect, there are scuffs and paint loss, rust, paint drips, fading, scrapes, scratches, nicks, cracks, dings, worn off edges, edge wear, smudges, and patina! What a great look!! It’s been well-loved and probably has lots of miles of downhill slides on it!! We’re not really sure how you steer (probably with your feet off the back) it so we hope whoever had it was hanging on! It measures 26.5″ L x 11″ W x 6.5 high to the deck. It weighs about 13 lbs! We will do our best to answer your questions. Thank you for looking at this item. Let us know if you have any questions.
