Antique c1940 ROOSTER PULL TOY Great paint & Surface/ Folk Art/ aafa. Provenance: Kronen Gallery, 1976; The Marvill Collection; Skinner Inc. Paint is dark, some pics were brightened to show surface details. Possibly a pull toy originally but not sure, there’s no strong evidence to support it. Missing both ears and front leg. Rear leg repaired (see pics). Approx 16″ tall, 18″ long. The quintessential country mantelpiece. See pics for additional details and any questions please ask. Listed this week is an excellent selection of Sterling and Continental Solid Silver. Some of the features are a large collection of early English, Irish and Scottish Flatware plus a great Victorian 4pc Tea and Coffee Set, a Gorgeous Large Birks Sterling Platter Tray, an early Pair of German Charger Plates and so much more. The Painting is very well executed featuring a beautiful young girl in a white dress and holding Flowers in her skirt. The Painting seems to be un-signed as most Folk Art never was. The girl has great character to her face and I must admit this is my favorite piece we have listed this week. The Painting is in excellent condition with no damage and is even more fabulous in real life. The Painting displays beautifully with the frame measuring 15 inches tall by 12 inches wide and the Painting measuring approx 9-1/2 inches tall by 6-1/2 inches wide sight size.
