Cumberland Rhode Island was settled originally as part of Rehoboth, MA. The property was eventually transferred to Rhode Island and named in honor of Prince William, Duke of Cumberland. Painting Size and Description. The sides are 1 and 1/2 inches thick and are painted with the Halloween scene wrapping around the edges so that a frame is not needed for hanging. A very nice, very thick canvas. This painting depicts an old, historic, haunted mansion with Trick or Treaters lined up to approach the porch. Spooks lurking in the windows and yard. A tangled pumpkin patch. Pumpkin buckets in hands and all under a full, Halloween Moon. Some Texture in the painting. High Quality Acrylic Paints Used. The backside of this canvas will also be Titled, signed with my full name, Lizzy Rainey, and dated 2018. This painting will also be sealed with a light clear varnish for protection. Halloween Folk Art Autumn Scarecrow Black Cat Pumpkin Apple House Painting
Original autumn harvest celebration painting carving on wood. As the artist, I cut the pattern on a scroll saw from poplar wood. The wood is 3/4 of an inch thick. Sides and back and front are all painted and are protected with a polyurethane finish. The polyurethane finish was put on in 1996. Wonderful folk art painting of an autumn green house with a cardinal bird, apples, a milk bottle, a pumpkin, black cat, scarecrow and pink rose buds. There is a lot of gold mica powder paint on this. Back is initialed and has biblical verse. Condition is very nice and clean with some natural imperfections in the wood which give this a quaintness and charm. House can sit or stand on a shelf.
