An old painting dating to the mid 1700’s and perhaps even earlier. Oils on wooden panel, the painting would we suggest be either Dutch or Flemish. Size- 13.75 by 17 inches approx. Medium- Oil on wooden panel Frame- Unframed. Condition- We would be very happy to hang this one as found. However the painting has a little varnish browning, craqueleur and alligatoring. HUGE Original OIL PAINTING Folk ART PENNSYLVANIA Americana. Description A gorgeous oil painting picked up at a Pennsylvania estate that is quite old. 42 by 36 1/2 inches oil painting. Really a great painting in an original hand carved frame. Frame is chipping and finish is coming off. Gorgeous as is but could definitely use some TLC if you are up for it. Couple tears repaired and overpainted as can be seen from the photo. Gap between canvas and frame but held in place. This one will light up any wall. Antique Folk Art Painting American Revolutionary War 18th Century Soldier Woman

An amazing painting with such historic details! The painting does have wear…. Loose canvas on some of the sides… From an antique lovers perspective…. It’s utterly fabulous! I’m dating this piece from 1779 to 1783 due to the clothing attire and painting details. The dress the lady is wearing dates to the late 1700’s and the soldiers uniform dates after 1779 when George Washington ordered soldiers of the Continental Army wear blue coats. The red trim on the uniform and the windmill in the background make me think Virginia BUT…. This attire was worn in a few other states as well. The couples cheery faces and the entire piece will bring a smile to your face! It’s delicate yet perfectly displayable. It could be preserved in a frame or however you see fit. It’s a lovely piece any collector of period paintings…. Or war memorabilia will cherish! Please see all of the photos and judge the type and condition for yourself. The Honourable Eustace Vasey c1760. A quality painting- one of a number of pieces that were recently found in the garage of a large house on the outskirts of Brighton. Some are in better condition than others so please read the condition report carefully. An interesting old oil painting of a gentleman named as The Honourable Eustace Vasey. Size- 17.5 by 14.25 inches approx (445 x 360 mm). Medium- Oils on metal panel. Condition- We would be happy to hang this one as found. There is however a little rubbing and some thin paint in places. The bottom of the trunk is not painted and the wood looks like it is White Eastern Pine. The rest of the trunk is all painted. The Painting has wear through out. There are small nicks and scratchs. The Hinges are iron. The handles are also made of Iron. The painting is signed on the upper right corner (LILY G). The top board is seperated down the center. The front of the chest is Painted with a Horn Of Plenty. There is a hole on the left side of the trunk. The structure of the trunk is sound are ready to use in your home.
