Antique 1880s – 1910s Victorian Era WOOD Hand Painted Circus Carousel Carnival Horse. This piece stands 52″ tall is 48″ long and 12 wide and weights approx 200+lbs. I believe to be something that drew people in to the carousel ride or side show attractions could even have been used as just a focal piece displayed at the entrance or center of the circus / carnival. The piece features glass eyes, a real horse hair tail, a 100% hand made painted and carved solid wood body, which was coated in a thin layer of a plaster type substance then completely hand painted. Condition is as seen there is cracking to the wood body due to age , no issues with it being fragile the cracking is just on the exterior, this piece is very solid and structurally sound.
