Here is a very interesting antique painting on wood, framed with a handmade folk art twig/tree surround frame. The entire piece measures 12 1/8 x 15 3/4 ins. The painting si oil on wood, that is placed or was originally slipped into the bottom of this frame, and then screwed-in from behind. The painting is in good condition, only some minor wear to the finish. It is signed M. Reinus, who appears to have been a Russian artist that painted landscapes. The frame is so unique, unsure what tree this is from , possibly a birch tree to mimic/match the birch trees in the landscape. I would date this painting to the early 1900s time period.
