You are given the perspective of standing in your home and coming to the door to be greet by a group of minstrels. There is a grown man and young boy with fiddles who are followed by a group of young children to catch the action. The artist has a done a great job creating an air of expectation in their faces. Interesting to note the architecture of the buildings in the background, open shutter and brick work leading to a chimney. Painting done in naive and charming style. Painting is probably European in origin. There is no signature or mark found. Please examine all pictures for detail. Really a very interesting and unusual piece that might be of interest. Measures 20″ X 24″. There is crackulature throughout painting. I personally think it adds charm to the piece. A patch was made by a previous owner. I have looked under black light and there was some in painting done to the man’s pants but can not be seen in normal light.
