This listing features the antique carved and painted wood statue shown in the pictures and described in the title. Nice original condition with no major cracks, chips, or repairs. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AT MY LISTINGS! This dog measures from nose to tail approx. No chips, cracks or repairs to the wood. This is actually from the 1930s according to the heirs. So I should not have stated “antique”. Plus, the owner of this dog told me something I need to mention: this carving was originally a lot darker, so much so there was no color to be seen. So he tried to clean it off with some type of solvent, and in the process he removed not only surface grime, but also the patina, and even some of the paint. So he stopped “cleaning” it halfway through the job-it still has some grime left. Then the guy tried to re-paint some of the green (on the base) but didn’t get the colors to match exactly. I swear it wasn’t me-I leave things alone just for this reason-I’ll ruin it somehow. Anyway, I’m not entirely sure what the guy did because he is quite old and does not remember, or explain things well at all. He mumbles so I can’t understand half the things he says. I offer a full guarantee for any reason (as with all my listings), so you can have a look at this carving and see if you like it. If I owned this, I’d wax the entire surface. It’s wax with stain.
