Century Miniature Folk Art Portrait Painting depicts a young man wearing a double breasted suit and holding his favorite dog. In the background is a window to a landscape. It is difficult to see at first, but there is a fine hairline to this painting, which travels through the left side of the landscape and stops part way through the dogs head. There are no other problems or restorations to this circa 1810 Miniature Portrait Painting. It comes in a simple 4 ¼” by 4 ¾” brass frame. Originally this frame would have fit in a larger gold gilt frame. There is no reserve on this early miniature Folk Art Painting.
